Data we collect

When you join a waiting list, we record:

  • your email address;
  • what you teach, if you choose to tell us;
  • the language of the page and where your visit came from (for example “youtube”), if it is part of the link you followed;
  • the date you signed up and the exact consent text you accepted.

When you send a request from the “Discuss my project” page, we record the form details: name, email, business, need, description, and any timeframe, budget and message.

When you take a course, your student account holds: your email address, your chosen language, the courses you can access, the lessons you have completed, and the dates your account was created and you last signed in. There is no password: sign-in links and codes are only stored in encrypted form, for a few minutes.

To prevent abuse, form submissions are counted for 24 hours using an encrypted fingerprint of your IP address. Your IP address itself is never stored.

Why, and on what legal basis

  • To let you know when the course opens and tell you about future ones: based on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
  • To answer your project request and, where relevant, send you a quote: based on the pre-contractual steps you asked for.
  • To give you access to the courses you bought and track your progress: based on our contract.
  • To protect forms against automated submissions: based on our legitimate interest in keeping the website secure.

Who receives your data

Your data is never sold, rented or shared. It is stored on the publisher’s server in France.

Emails (sign-up confirmation, acknowledgement, replies) are sent through OVHcloud’s email service, hosted in France.

For security and speed, the website runs through Cloudflare’s network, which technically processes visitors’ IP addresses. Cloudflare is a US company certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

How long we keep it

  • Waiting list: 3 years from your sign-up or your last contact with us, then deleted.
  • After you unsubscribe: your address is kept only to make sure you receive no further emails, then deleted within the same 3 years. You can ask for immediate deletion.
  • Project requests: 3 years after our last exchange, unless they lead to a contract (then kept for the legal period).
  • Student account: as long as you have access to a course, then 3 years after your last sign-in. Purchase data (invoices) is kept for the legal period.
  • Anti-abuse data: 24 hours.

Your rights

You can access, correct or delete your data, object to its use, ask for its restriction or portability, and withdraw your consent at any time.

Every email includes an unsubscribe link. For any other request, write to contact@seralde.com: we reply within one month at the latest.

If you believe your rights are not respected, you can lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL (www.cnil.fr).
